TECHNOWORLD, the leading processor of solar panels in the Czech Republic and holder of WEEELABEX certification.

Technoworld is one of the leading electric and electronic waste processors in the Czech Republic. It provides a comprehensive and cost-effective solution for manufacturers, retailers of electronic and electrical equipment, compliance schemes, and other industries.

It specializes mainly in the environmentally-friendly processing of televisions, monitors, and solar panels. The company has been certified by ISO and WEEELABEX audits. These take into account the recycling process itself, working conditions, and the environmental impact of processing. The capacity of our facility currently stands at around 10,000 tons of electrical and electronic waste per year. In 2023, we launched a new modern line for processing LCD and LED screens.

Technoworld has long been committed to the responsible management of electrical and electronic waste and continually invests in modern technologies and innovations to make the treatment process more efficient.

In each investment, it is crucial that we achieve the maximum possible material use during processing, while at the same time minimizing environmental impacts. Using modern recycling technologies, we are able to achieve up to 90% material recovery.

Launching a new line for processing solar panels

We reached another milestone in modern e-waste processing with the launch of a new line for the processing of solar panels in June 2025. The Japanese line employs HIGH-END technology to gently and very efficiently separate glass from solar panels. The principle is such that EVAfoil is glued to the glass of the solar panel and then cut and separated from the glass using the hot knife technique. This method of processing significantly increases the quality of whatever can then be used for onward recycling.

Modern technology to ensure the safe and efficient recycling of solar panels, televisions, monitors, and fluorescent lamps.

Solar panels

Processing solar panels

  • Deframing using Japanese Frame Separator technology
what makes this technology unique is that when removing aluminium frames and a J-box with cables, it does not damage the glass, meaning that the output can continue on to “Hot Knife” technology.
  • After dismantling, the resulting panels are divided into two streams – those which are not broken continue on the hot knife, the broken ones to a milling machine.
  • SUNY milling machine
removes glass from the foil by milling the broken panels – this results in glass cullet and film with a low quantity of residual glass.
  • Hot Knife
a unique Japanese technology that removes an entire glass pane using a heated blade, leaving a film that is completely free of glass residue.
  • Film shredding
the foil moves on to the shredder process, first through a twin-rotor shredder, then a chain shredder, to produce dust containing silver, silicon, and other metals of interest.

TV a PCM – FPD

Processing flat panel TVs

  • We process flat TVs using Swedish MRT technology, which makes it easier and safer to manually dismantle by cutting off the frames.
  • Manual dismantling must be done very carefully, particularly in the case of flat LCD screens that contain mercury tubes, which must be dismantled whole, without damaging them.
  • The fact that MRT technology measures each piece before cutting off the frames means it can ensure an accurate cut in such a way that it does not damage the dangerous mercury tubes.
  • In addition to dangerous tubes, manual dismantling produces other outputs: iron, plastics, acrylic glass, displays, foils, printed circuit boards, cables, and more.
  • All outputs are handled in such a way as to facilitate onward use and not hinder their recycling.

TV and PCM – CRT

Old televisions and monitors with CRT technology

  • Old televisions and monitors with CRT technology are processed at the premises in Zábřeh.
  • We use a process of manual dismantling that makes sure that individual outputs are handled in the proper way, in particular CRT glass, which contains dangerous phosphor and accounts for 65% of the entire weight of such electrical and electronic equipment.

Linear fluorescent lamps and energy-saving lamps

Among the most dangerous types of e-waste

  • Linear fluorescent lamps and energy-saving bulbs are among the most dangerous types of e-waste, mainly on account of their high mercury content.
  • Processing is carried out on specialized technology from a Swedish company that is entirely enclosed in a container which is suctioned at all times through multi-stage filters so that processing is safe for both the operator and the environment.
  • Output that contains mercury is contained and handed over to a specialized company for disposal.
  • Other outputs (glass, aluminium, plastics) are no longer contaminated with mercury after passing through the technology and can be further recycled.
  • To make sure the whole process is safe and the outputs are pure, we perform regular measurements of mercury content both in the working environment and in individual outputs.
